Car Crashes into Pole on 5 Freeway
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 27, 2019) – A hit-and-run car ran from the scene after a crash on 5 Freeway just south of J Street Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place south of J Street around 6:35 PM. Based on an initial report, an unidentified car struck struck a vehicle from the right side before it crashed into a pole and rolled over. Three other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Athrotiries identified one person seen lying on the ground. The paramedics arrived for needed medical attention. However, they did not yet release a report regarding any victim injuries.
One car totaled. In addition, authorities reported damages to the guard rail and the pole.
There is currently no description of the hit-and-run driver or the vehicle involved. As the investigation continues, no additional information has been released at this time.
