Injuries Reported in Koreatown Pedestrian Accident on 2800 James M Wood Boulevard

KOREATOWN, CA (September 22, 2024) – Last Sept 12, a man suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on 2800 James M Wood Boulevard.

Surveillance footage captured a man and a woman riding separate Lime electric scooters on a sidewalk. The video shows the woman leading on her scooter before colliding with a pedestrian. After the crash, both individuals quickly left the scene.

According to a friend of the victim, the elderly man was on his way to meet his wife for dinner at the time of the incident. Firefighters responded and treated him for a head injury, though he declined transportation to a hospital, according to the LAPD.

A report was filed at the scene, and detectives continue investigating the incident.
