SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 1, 2026) – Saturday night, a person sustained injuries in a crippling hit-and-run crash on 600 S Zarzamora Street.

The incident involving a pedestrian happened at about 8:49 p.m. in the 600 block of South Zarzamora Street.

Investigators said the victim was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk from east to west when he was struck by a northbound vehicle.

Police said the driver did not stop to render aid and instead fled the scene.

The victim, described only as an adult Black man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not made any arrests and have not released a description of the vehicle involved.

The investigation remains ongoing.
