Injuries Reported in Colorado Springs Motorcycle Accident on Austin Bluffs Bridge

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (July 28, 2026) – Saturday, a motorcyclist sustained injuries in a disastrous hit-and-run crash on Austin Bluffs Bridge.

The incident occurred on the Austin Bluffs Bridge over Union early Saturday afternoon.

Police said the motorcycle and a car were both traveling eastbound when the car clipped the motorcycle, throwing the rider from the bike. The driver fled the scene, while bystanders stopped to help the injured rider and called 911.

The rider, who was wearing a helmet, was transported by ambulance and is expected to survive despite sustaining serious injuries.

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Major Crash Team is investigating the hit-and-run. Investigators said drugs, alcohol, and speeding are not currently suspected to have been factors in the crash.

No description of the suspect vehicle has been released.
