Hit-and-Run Crash on C Street Suspect At Large [Vancouver, WA]

Woman Recovering After Vancouver Hit-and-Run; Police Release New Images of Suspect

Vancouver, WA (March 20, 2026) — A woman is recovering after a hit-and-run crash on C Street that left her injured while crossing the street on March 12.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection with Evergreen Boulevard. The woman was walking in a marked crosswalk when a vehicle struck her, leaving her hurt and in need of medical attention. Emergency responders transported her to a nearby hospital, where she is expected to recover.

Authorities said the driver briefly stopped after the collision and helped the woman out of the roadway before leaving the scene. The decision to flee has prompted an ongoing investigation as police work to identify and locate the suspect.

Investigators described the driver as a Hispanic man, approximately 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds, with a possible facial tattoo. Surveillance footage captured a white van, possibly a Ford, bearing Oregon license plates. Newly released images show both the vehicle and the suspected driver more clearly.

Police continue to urge anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to come forward.

Do The Right Thing. Stay. Help. Take Responsibility.

A hit-and-run is not just a crime, but a devastating act of cowardice leaving victims injured, scared, and sometimes fighting for their lives. If you’re involved in a traffic accident, stop immediately. Call 911. Help those who are hurt.

Remember that fleeing the scene only worsens the situation and carries serious legal consequences, including felony charges. Victims deserve accountability and justice.

Hit-and-run crashes leave victims vulnerable and delay critical care. Drivers must remain at the scene, call for help, and cooperate with authorities. Pedestrians should stay alert even in marked crosswalks, and motorists must always yield and exercise caution in high-foot-traffic areas.
