Hit and Run Crash on East 31st Street Injures Pedestrian [Long Beach, CA]

Long Beach, CA (August 22, 2025) Early Friday, a pedestrian was hurt and hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on East 31st Street.

According to authorities, the incident happened around 2:07 a.m. near Atlantic Avenue.

Reports say that a white Chrysler Pacifica SUV struck the pedestrian just south of the intersection before fleeing southbound on Atlantic.

Emergency crews transported the victim to Long Beach Memorial Trauma Center. Police have not released the victim’s condition.

Long Beach Police shut down the intersection for several hours while they investigated and awaited updates on the victim’s status.
