Simi Valley Man Arrested After Fatal Hit-and-Run in Erringer Road Parking Lot

Simi Valley, CA (September 4, 2026) — Police arrested a 40-year-old Simi Valley man after a deadly hit-and-run crash on Erringer Road.

The Simi Valley Police Department responded to a pedestrian-vehicle collision around 4:15 p.m. in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven and gas station in the 1300 block of Erringer Road.

The pedestrian died at the scene. Officers searched the area and later found the suspected vehicle abandoned nearby. Investigators located the driver and arrested him without incident.

Authorities booked the man into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run. Jail records show his bail at $500,000, with a court appearance scheduled for Sept. 2 in Ventura County Superior Court.

Police have not released the pedestrian’s identity while they notify the person’s family.
