Pedestrian Killed in Tragic Hit-and-Run in South Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA (March 22, 2026) — Late Wednesday night, a man lost his life after a violent hit-and-run crash on Florence Avenue near the Hyde Park area of South Los Angeles.

The victim was walking along the 1700 block of West Florence Avenue, between Hobart and Harvard avenues, around 11:38 p.m. when a driver struck him.

Emergency crews rushed the victim to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police have not released any description of the suspect or vehicle. Detectives continue to investigate the case and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver responsible.
