LOS ANGELES, CA (July 29, 2026)— The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a driver who fled the scene after seriously injuring a pedestrian in a crash on Hoover Street in the Pico-Union neighborhood earlier this month.

According to the LAPD, the hit-and-run occurred shortly after 11:00 p.m. on July 13 at the intersection of Hoover Street and London Street, near the Hollywood (101) Freeway.

Investigators said a white sedan was traveling south on Hoover Street and making a left turn onto London Street when it struck a man in his 30s who was crossing northbound through the intersection.

Police said the driver failed to stop, render aid, or remain at the scene as required by law before fleeing eastbound on London Street.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the crash and transported the injured pedestrian to a local hospital, where he received treatment for serious injuries.
