Hit-and-Run Crash on Venice Boulevard Injures 2 Pedestrians [Los Angeles, CA]

Two Pedestrians Seriously Injured in Venice Hit-and-Run

Los Angeles, CA (September 27, 2026) — A frightening crash on Venice Boulevard left 2 pedestrians with serious injuries after a hit-and-run driver struck them at about 9:10 a.m.

The victims were crossing the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Los Angeles on Friday, in a marked crosswalk when a driver in a Lexus SUV hit them. The driver briefly stopped and exited the vehicle before returning to the SUV and fleeing the scene.

Paramedics took both pedestrians to a local hospital for treatment of their serious injuries.

Los Angeles police are searching for the driver, described as a white man in his late 20s. Investigators believe the vehicle was a white Lexus GX 470, possibly a 2006-2015 model. Authorities have released surveillance images and are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the suspect’s identification and arrest.

Hit-and-Run is a Crime

A hit-and-run is a deadly offense that endangers lives and robs victims of their right to assistance. If you’re in an accident, do not leave the scene and check for injuries; 911 should be called immediately. Leaving can lead to criminal charges, even if the crash appears to be minor. As a driver, own it — someone’s life could hang in the balance.

If you observe a hit-and-run, report it and give any information you can. Assistance to law enforcement can really make a difference. Each of us can do our part to drive responsibly and with integrity, and to get everyone the help they need after a crash.

Drivers must yield to pedestrians in marked crosswalks and stay at the scene after a collision. If you are involved in a crash, call emergency services and assist when it is safe to do so.
