Los Angeles, CA (December 22, 2025) — A pedestrian suffered critical injuries after a hit & run crash on Kansas Avenue early Tuesday morning.

According to authorities, the incident happened around 5:20 a.m. near the intersection of Kansas Avenue and Florence Avenue.

Reports say that a man was struck while crossing Florence Avenue between Western and Normandie avenues. Responding officers found the victim unresponsive and not breathing, prompting an emergency medical response.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel transported the victim to a hospital. Authorities have not confirmed the individual’s condition. The driver involved fled the scene, and investigators have not released a vehicle description.
