Honda Driver Dead in SR 166 Collision [Maricopa, CA]

Maricopa, CA (December 17, 2025) – A man driving a Honda was killed in an SR 166 collision Monday afternoon.

Troopers said the man was driving a Honda Civic with four occupants, westbound on State Route 166, east of Soda Lake Road. 

The driver stopped on the westbound shoulder to check the vehicle’s right-side tires after striking the right-side curb and embankment. 

However, a westbound tractor struck s the driver as he entered the vehicle.

Sadly, the Honda driver was killed at the scene.

The Honda’s other occupants and the truck driver were not hurt in the accident.

Investigators do not consider alcohol as a factor in this fatal incident.
