Honda Driver and Passenger Killed in Old Woman Springs Road Head-On Crash [Lucerne Valley, CA]

Lucerne Valley, CA (July 17, 2021) – On Thursday, a 34-year-old male driver from Salinas, and his passenger, died in Old Woman Springs Road head-on crash.

The incident happened at approximately 11:19 p.m. west of Parmeson Road. 

The Salinas man driving a 2006 Honda Accord was westbound State Route 247.

At the same time, a 50-year-old male driver from Lancaster was driving a 2006 GMC Yukon, eastbound on State Route 247.

It was approaching the Honda Accord from the opposite direction.

“For reasons still under investigation, the driver of the Honda Accord traveled into the opposing lane, directly into the path of the 2006 GMC, resulting in a head-on crash,” stated a CHP news release. 

Unfortunately, the Honda’s driver and his right-front passenger incurred fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Honda’s left rear passenger and the GMC Yukon’s driver suffered major injuries. Reach Air took them to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment. 

Moreover, officers do not consider alcohol or drugs to have been a factor in this accident.
