PLACER COUNTY, CA (April 17, 2024) – Monday night, a horrific 2-car crash on Walerga Road and Doyle Ranch Drive killed 1 person.

The crash occurred at about 6:45 p.m. on Walerga Road and Doyle Ranch Drive.

According to reports, as a man drove a Mazda north on Walerga Road and was turning onto Doyle, a man driving a Mercedes struck him.

As a result, the Mazda driver sustained major injuries and his passenger succumbed to injuries. Moreover, responders transported the Mercedes driver to the hospital for a complaint of pain.

Also, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased due to pending family notification. Meanwhile, the intersection was shut down for several hours as officers investigated.
