2 People Dead in Albuquerque Auto Accident on 2nd Street NW and Candelaria Road NW

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (November 5, 2025) – Sunday night, a horrific 2-vehicle crash on 2nd Street NW and Candelaria Road NW killed two people.

The incident happened at around 7:48 p.m. on 2nd Street NW and Candelaria Road NW.

According to the Albuquerque Police Department, a blue 1967 Triumph ran a red light and struck a westbound blue Toyota Tacoma that entered the intersection on a green light. Then, the Toyota struck two more vehicles that were stopped at the red light.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver and a passenger of the Triumph dead at the scene. Furthermore, paramedics transported all occupants of the Toyota to a hospital in stable condition.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Albuquerque Police Department’s Fatal Crash Unit continued investigating the crash.
