SAN ANTONIO, TX (August 11, 2026) – Sunday morning, a man died in a horrific 2-vehicle crash on 6000 Interstate 10 near Vance Jackson Road.

The crash involving two vehicles happened in the 6000 block of Interstate 10, which is located near Vance Jackson Road.

According to a preliminary report from the San Antonio Police Department, the crash occurred after a stalled vehicle was struck on Interstate 10.

Police said they received multiple calls about a silver Infiniti G35 stopped in the main lanes of I-10. A Toyota Tundra then crashed into the rear of the Infiniti. An officer at the scene said the truck driver did not see the stalled vehicle in time to avoid the collision.

The Tundra driver remained at the scene, contacted police and assisted with the investigation.

Meanwhile, the male driver of the Infiniti was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine his identity, cause and manner of death.

Moreover, the crash closed the eastbound main lanes of I-10 for about five hours, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. The investigation remains ongoing.
