1 Dead in La Presa Multi-Vehicle Accident on Jamacha Boulevard and San Diego Street

LA PRESA, CA (February 16, 2026) – Late Friday night, a 49-year-old man died in a horrific 3-vehicle crash on Jamacha Boulevard and San Diego Street.

The crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on Jamacha Boulevard and San Diego Street.

CHP said that for reasons still under investigation, a white Nissan Rogue driven by a 29-year-old man crossed over the double yellow lines on Jamacha Boulevard at a high rate of speed and collided with a Toyota sedan driven by a 49-year-old man. A woman driving a Toyota SUV behind the sedan was unable to stop and crashed into both vehicles.

The 49-year-old driver of the Toyota sedan died at the scene from his injuries, according to CHP.

The 29-year-old Nissan driver was taken to a hospital and later arrested after investigators determined alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to SDPD.

Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
