MARICOPA, AZ (May 17, 2026) – Thursday morning, a person died in a horrific 3-vehicle crash on State Route 347 and Casa Blanca Road.

The incident involving three vehicles happened just before 6:30 a.m. on northbound State Route 347, north of Casa Blanca Road.

Troopers said two people were transported to a hospital following the crash, while one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities closed northbound SR 347 for several hours as investigators worked to determine what caused the collision. The roadway reopened around 2 p.m.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
