Deadly Mesa Traffic Crash on Country Club Road and Baseline Road

MESA, AZ (March 2, 2026) – Sunday morning, a horrific auto accident on Country Club Road and Baseline Road led to fatality.

The incident happened on Country Club Road and Baseline Road

Authorities closed Country Club Road in both directions at Baseline Road as the Arizona Department of Public Safety investigated the crash.

Officials confirmed at the scene that the crash was fatal, but the events leading up to it remained unclear. Debris was scattered across the roadway, and a silver sedan with heavy fire damage was visible on the southwest corner of the intersection.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
