Two Injured in Early Morning Crash in the Yelm Area of Thurston County

Thurston County, CA (May 15, 2025) — Two drivers suffered injuries after a crash on Bald Hills Road in Thurston County early Tuesday morning.

According to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, the collision happened around 6:55 a.m. on Bald Hills Road near 128th Avenue. Investigators said a woman believed to be in her 50s lost control of her vehicle and crossed into the opposite lane, where she collided with an oncoming vehicle driven by a man.

Emergency crews transported the male driver to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities also took the woman to Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord with injuries.

Officials said neither driver showed signs of impairment. The crash remains under investigation.
