Hartsburg Man Killed, Woman Seriously Injured in Osage County Crash

Osage County, MO (August 10, 2026) — A 61-year-old Hartsburg man died, and a woman suffered serious injuries after a crash on Highway 63 involving a pickup truck and two motorcycles near Westphalia.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet truck crossed the center line and struck one of the motorcycles head-on. The motorcycle overturned, ejecting the man and his female passenger. The man died at the scene, while the woman sustained serious injuries.

Debris from the initial collision also struck a second motorcycle, causing its rider to overturn on the roadway. Emergency crews responded to the crash, and a medical helicopter transported patients for treatment.

Authorities closed the highway while troopers investigated the collision.
