Four Hospitalized After Car Smashes Into Hemet Home, Seven People Displaced
Hemet, CA (November 19, 2025) — Four people were taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after a horrific crash on Lately Circle, where a car slammed into a home, leaving the structure heavily damaged and several residents displaced.
Riverside County Fire crews responded around 3:15 p.m. to the crash on the 44000 block of Lately Circle. Firefighters found the driver — the only person in the vehicle — trapped inside. They extricated the driver and transported them to a hospital.
Three people inside the home were also hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries. The impact caused major structural damage, forcing seven residents to leave the home. The American Red Cross was called in to help those displaced.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Let’s Avoid Traffic Accidents
Avoiding auto accidents involves paying attention and practicing safe driving methods. And as always, you should follow the speed and traffic laws, and don’t text (or use your phone in any way) behind the wheel.
Keep a safe trailing distance to be able to stop, if necessary.
Do not drink and drive, and never get behind the wheel if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if you are tired.
Watch your mirrors and use your turn signals, and check your blind spots, before changing lanes or making a turn. Drive calmly and patiently, especially in heavy traffic or bad weather.
When you drive responsibly and remain alert, you help prevent accidents and keep everyone on the road safe.
Residential streets require extra caution. Slowing down and staying alert can prevent crashes that put both drivers and families inside their homes at risk.

A traffic collision doesn’t just end when the vehicles are cleared—it often leaves lasting scars. Injuries can range from minor cuts to severe, life-changing trauma. Beyond the physical pain, many victims also face emotional stress, mental challenges, and financial strain, making recovery even harder.
