1 Person Dead in Tucson Traffic Accident on 5300 East Golf Links Road

TUCSON, AZ (January 4, 2026) – Friday night, a horrific DUI crash on 5300 East Golf Links Road killed one person.

The incident happened at the 5300 block of East Golf Links Road.

According to the Tucson Police, an eastbound Toyota Corolla crossed all three eastbound lanes and the center median before colliding with a Camry and a westbound Volkswagen Jetta.

Moreover, responders transported four occupants of the Corolla, two 8-year-old boys, a 2-year-old boy, and a 4-year-old boy, to a hospital where the 4-year-old boy was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the driver of the Toyota was impaired at the time of the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Tucson Police continued investigating the crash.
