1 Person Dead in Oakland Auto Accident on 6300 San Leandro Street

OAKLAND, CA (June 10, 2025) – Sunday morning, a horrific head-on crash on 6300 San Leandro Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 2:40 a.m. in the 6300 block of San Leandro Street.

According to reports, an eastbound Honda Civic traveling in the westbound lanes collided head-on with a westbound Ford cargo van. Then, a westbound Infiniti SUV sideswiped a westbound Nissan Altima before colliding with Honda in the initial crash. Also, the Infinity fled the scene after the collision.

Moreover, responders pronounced the female driver of the Honda, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the 66-year-old driver of the Ford van to a hospital with minor injuries.

Furthermore, officers recovered an open container of alcohol inside the Honda and believed that alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
