1 Dead in Houston Pedestrian Accident on 4400 Reed Road

HOUSTON, TX (June 7, 2026) – Friday night, a man in a wheelchair died in a horrific hit-and-run crash on 4400 Reed Road.

The incident happened at about 9:12 p.m. in the 4400 block of Reed Road.

Investigators believe the vehicle involved was a silver Mazda sedan that was traveling through the area at the time of the collision.

Police said the driver did not stop at the scene or provide any information after the crash. A witness reportedly pointed out the suspected vehicle to officers, and investigators are working to locate the Mazda and identify the driver.

The victim’s name has not been released because authorities have not yet been able to positively identify him. Police said they have spoken with family members and have a general idea of his identity.
