SAN DIEGO, CA (October 27, 2025) – Saturday night, a horrific hit-and-run crash on 54th Street and University Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:50 p.m. on 54th Street and University Avenue.

According to the San Diego Police, a vehicle struck a 6-year-old boy who was crossing the roadway.

Moreover, responders rushed the child to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, the crash closed both directions from 54th to 58th streets.
