EDDY COUNTY, NM (July 9, 2026) – Saturday night, a horrific hit-and-run crash on Forney Road near Six Mile Dam killed one person.

The incident happened at around 10:50 p.m. on Forney Road near Six Mile Dam.

According to reports, a vehicle struck multiple people, crashed into a parked car, and fled the scene.

Moreover, officers confirmed that at least one person died in the crash.

Furthermore, authorities said that the suspect is best described as a man wearing a turquoise polo shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes with blue designs.
