1 Dead in Newberry Springs Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 15 and Field Road

NEWBERRY SPRINGS, CA (December 7, 2025) – Friday night, a person died in a horrific motorcycle crash on Interstate 5 and Field Road.

The incident happened at around 6:28 p.m. on Interstate 15 southbound, about one mile north of the Field Road offramp near Newberry Springs.

The motorcyclist was described as a man wearing a black helmet and a white jacket with orange sleeves. Both he and the motorcycle came to rest on the right shoulder.

San Bernardino County Fire crews arrived and confirmed he died at the scene. CHP briefly stopped all southbound traffic to secure the area, support emergency responders, and conduct a traffic break.

A tow truck was called for a silver Audi with front-end damage, and several lanes stayed blocked while officers investigated. At 7:40 p.m., Caltrans District 8 reported that all southbound lanes of I-15 at Field Road were closed due to the crash, with no estimated reopening time.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was notified, and the investigation into what led to the crash is still underway.
