HAYWARD, CA (April 3, 2024) – Monday night, a horrific motorcycle crash on Jackson Street and Grand Street killed 1 person.

The crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle happened just after 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Jackson Street and Grand Street.

Upon officers’ arrival, they located both parties were still present at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 55-year-old man, emerged from the incident without any injuries, according to officers. However, the motorcyclist, a 31-year-old man, was found unresponsive and sustained injuries. Both individuals involved in the crash were not residents of Hayward, as confirmed by police.

Tragically, despite medical personnel’s swift response, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
