SAN JOSE, CA (May 4, 2026) – Saturday afternoon, a person died in a horrific multi-vehicle crash on Blossom Hill Road and Santa Teresa Boulevard.

The incident happened at about 3:54 p.m. on Blossom Hill Road and Santa Teresa Boulevard.

Three people were transported to the hospital following the crash, and one woman later died from her injuries.

Responders from the San Jose Fire Department, along with Santa Clara County emergency personnel and American Medical Response, assisted at the scene. Officials said the collision involved entrapment, and at least one vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.

Police shut down the entire intersection and nearby streets during the investigation and advised the public to avoid the area and use alternate routes, noting the closure could last several hours.
