1 Dead in Irwindale Multi-Vehicle Accident on E Arrow Highway and Avenida Barbosa

IRWINDALE, CA (September 20, 2026) – Friday morning, a driver died in a horrific multi-vehicle crash on E Arrow Highway and Avenida Barbosa.

The incident involving a dump truck and several other vehicles happened at 11:49 a.m. on E Arrow Highway and Avenida Barbosa.

Crews arrived to find four vehicles involved in the collision. One vehicle was severely crushed and caught fire, officials said.

Despite life-saving efforts, one driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Irwindale police. The person’s identity was being withheld pending notification of family members.

Two people had to be extricated from their vehicles, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Both were taken to a local hospital. Their ages, genders and conditions were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam or surveillance footage is asked to contact Irwindale police.
