Fatality Reported in Vancouver Multi-Vehicle Accident on State Highway 14 at Milepost 1

VANCOUVER, WA (June 4, 2025) – Monday night, a bicyclist died in a horrific multi-vehicle crash on State Highway 14 at Milepost 1.

The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. when a bicyclist crossed the eastbound lanes of Highway 14 at Milepost 1 near the Interstate 5 Bridge.

As the bicyclist moved from the right shoulder to the median, three vehicles in the left lane hit them.

As a result, the bicyclist suffered injuries at the scene.

All involved vehicles stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

According to the State Patrol, all drivers and passengers were wearing seat belts, and neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the crash. No charges are expected.

One vehicle sustained reportable damage.

The eastbound lanes of Highway 14 were shut down until about 3 a.m. to allow for the investigation, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
