TOLLESON, AZ (July 15, 2026) – Early Tuesday morning, a person died in a horrific pedestrian crash near 107th Avenue and Buckeye Road.

The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m. near 107th Avenue and Buckeye Road.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Buckeye Road.

Deputies said the driver called 911 to report the crash. Emergency crews found the pedestrian unresponsive in the roadway, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reports confirmed that the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Buckeye Road was closed in both directions during the morning commute but reopened before 9 a.m.

Detectives with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to investigate the collision.
