1 Dead in Petaluma Pedestrian Accident on 3100 Skillman Lane

PETALUMA, CA (April 7, 2025) – Sunday afternoon, a 3-year-old child died in a horrific pedestrian crash on 3100 Skillman Lane.

The incident involving a Bobcat tractor working on the property happened at about 12:35 p.m. on 3100 Skillman Lane.

The tragic accident occurred when a 3-year-old child was fatally struck by a Bobcat tractor being operated in a field, according to CHP Officer David deRutte.

CHP responded to the scene and reported that the child had run into the work area before being hit. The child was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers noted signs of impairment in the tractor operator, who was later arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and manslaughter.
