San Jose, CA (May 31, 2025) Early Friday morning, a horrific pedestrian crash on Almaden Avenue claims a life and injures another.

According to the San Jose Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 2:46 a.m. near West Virginia Street and Almaden Avenue.

Reports say that a hit-and-run driver struck two pedestrians in San Jose.

One pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where they later died. The second pedestrian was also injured, though their condition has not been disclosed.

Police located and arrested the suspect shortly after the collision. The suspect’s identity has not yet been released.
