1 Dead in Pasadena Pedestrian Accident on Cordova Street and Oak Knoll Avenue

PASADENA, CA (November 27, 2025) – Saturday night, a 36-year-old man died in a horrific pedestrian crash on Cordova Street and Oak Knoll Avenue.

The incident happened at around 7:46 p.m. when an eastbound sedan on Cordova Street hit the pedestrian in the south crosswalk, said Pasadena Police Lieutenant Richard Padilla.

Pasadena Fire Department paramedics arrived and took the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to Padilla, the driver, a 75-year-old Glendale resident, stayed at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators.

Early findings show that alcohol and drugs do not appear to have played a role in the crash, Padilla said.

Pasadena’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded and has taken over the case. The investigation is still underway.
