Tesla Hits Worker in San Leandro Pedestrian Accident on Doolittle Drive

SAN LEANDRO, CA (February 25, 2026) – Tuesday morning, a worker unloading a parked semi-truck died in a horrific pedestrian crash on Doolittle Drive.

The incident happened when an out-of-control vehicle crashed into the worker on Doolittle Drive.

Police said the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Investigators said a white Tesla Model 3 was being manually driven just before 11:30 a.m. when it collided with a red Dodge Ram truck. The Tesla then veered into the rear of a semi-truck, where a worker was standing.

“Neither driver of the involved vehicles sustained any injuries, and both remained on scene to speak with investigators. The exact cause of the initial collision is still under investigation, but no impairment is suspected at this time,” San Leandro police said.

Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
