1 Dead in Pinon Hills Pedestrian Accident on Highway 138 and Oasis Road

PINON HILLS, CA (April 9, 2025) – Tuesday morning, a horrific pedestrian crash on Highway 138 and Oasis Road killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at around 12:20 a.m. on Highway 138 and Oasis Road.

Firefighters confirmed the pedestrian was deceased at 12:33 a.m. after being found in the middle of the intersection. California Highway Patrol was notified, and traffic control was requested as the body was blocking lanes.

A witness reported seeing a white pick-up truck do a U-turn upon noticing the body and stopping to help direct traffic. The crash was a hit-and-run, and other drivers also assisted. 

Westbound Highway 138 was closed at Oasis Road for investigation.
