DALLAS, TX (September 14, 2026) – Sunday morning, a person died in a horrific pedestrian crash on Interstate 30 near First Avenue.

The incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. on the westbound side of Interstate 30 near First Avenue, said the Dallas Police Department.

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on a Dallas freeway, according to police.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the vehicle hit the pedestrian on the freeway. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel responded, but the victim died at the scene.

The driver remained at the scene, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
