1 Dead in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on Manchester Avenue and Cimarron Street

LOS ANGELES, CA (October 22, 2023) – Friday night, a horrific pedestrian crash on Manchester Avenue and Cimarron Street killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 8:00 p.m. on southbound Manchester Avenue at Cimarron Street. As the woman crossed Manchester Avenue in an unmarked crosswalk, a speeding 2019 Kia Optima struck her.

As a result, the 63-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the involved vehicle went west on Manchester and was later found in Inglewood.

Furthermore, the LAPD’s South Traffic Division encouraged anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 323-421-2577 or 877-527-3247.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
