ST LOUIS, MO (September 28, 2026) – Friday night, a horrific rollover crash on US Highway 61 near Matthews killed two people.

The incident happened at around 9:00 p.m. on US Highway 61 near Matthews.

According to reports, an SUV rear-ended a pickup truck. Then, the SUV veered off the roadway and rolled over multiple times.

Moreover, responders pronounced two occupants of the SUV, a 9-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported four more occupants of the SUV to a hospital with moderate to serious injuries.
