3 People Dead in Summit County Auto Accident on Interstate 70 near Mile Marker 208
SUMMIT COUNTY, CO (October 13, 2025) – Sunday morning, a horrific semi truck crash on Interstate 70 near Mile Marker 208 killed three people.
The incident happened at around 5:40 a.m. on Interstate 70 near Mile Marker 208.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, a semi truck veered off the roadway, went back onto the road, struck a concrete barrier, rolled across the road and erupted into flames.
Moreover, responders confirmed that three occupants of the truck, a 39-year-old man, a 9-year-old girl, and a 37-year-old woman, all died at the scene.
Furthermore, the crash closed westbound Interstate 70 but has long since reopened.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Colorado State Patrol continued investigating the crash.
