DENVER, CO (December 18, 2025) – Early Sunday morning, a person died in a horrific single-vehicle crash near W 42nd Street and Federal Boulevard.

The incident happened at about 3:15 a.m. near W 42nd Street and Federal Boulevard.

One person died at the scene, and another was taken to a hospital with injuries, according to reports. A heavily damaged vehicle was found on the sidewalk, rolled over, with its engine and debris scattered across the roadway.

Northbound Federal Boulevard was closed for several hours but reopened around 9 a.m.

Denver police have not said if drugs, alcohol, speed, or distracted driving were factors. The victim has not yet been publicly identified.
