1 Dead in Dallas Auto Accident on Interstate 30 near Ferguson Road

DALLAS, TX (August 24, 2026) – Early Sunday, a person died in a horrific single-vehicle crash on Interstate 30 near Ferguson Road.

The crash involving one vehicle happened just before 2:36 a.m. on Interstate 30 near Ferguson Road.

Emergency crews responded to an overturned pickup truck in the eastbound lanes of I-30 near the Ferguson Road exit.

Deputies found a white Ford F-150 that had overturned after the driver reportedly lost control while exiting the freeway. One passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second passenger was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, while a third occupant was treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization.

The driver was detained as authorities investigate possible driving while intoxicated and intoxication manslaughter. Meanwhile, the Ferguson Road exit was closed for about three hours while deputies processed the scene.

The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of family.
