DENVER, CO (April 5, 2026) – Sunday morning, a person died in a horrific single-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 near Kipling.

The incident occurred just after 7:00 a.m. on westbound 70, just east of Kipling.

Authorities said one person died and two others were taken to the hospital.

Westbound I-70 was reduced to one lane between Kipling and Wadsworth following the crash, but has since fully reopened.

Police said one of the injured remains in serious condition, while the other is expected to be OK.
