2 Dead in Modesto Auto Accident on S Carpenter Road and W Hatch Road

MODESTO, CA (June 17, 2024) – Sunday morning, a horrific single-vehicle crash on S Carpenter Road and W Hatch Road killed 2 people.

The incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. on S Carpenter Road and W Hatch Road.

When the authorities arrived, they located the two occupants of the 2008 Honda Accord dead at the scene.

According to the preliminary investigation, the vehicle was headed north on S Carpenter Road. Then, it hit an island and signal light pole at the southeast corner of the street’s intersection with West Hatch Road.

Moreover, the vehicle then crashed with the island and a signal light pole on the northeast corner. As a result, the vehicle sustained significant damage and caused fatal injuries to the driver and passenger.
