OROVILLE, CA (July 31, 2025) – Wednesday night, a horrific traffic crash on Highway 162 near Old Olive Highway killed one person.

The incident happened on Highway 162 near Old Olive Highway.

According to reports, an eastbound Dodge pickup crossed the center line and collided with a westbound vehicle.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the driver of the westbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities arrested the driver of the Dodge on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Meanwhile, the crash closed Highway 162 from Old Olive Highway to Forbestown Road.
