VACAVILLE, CA (April 1, 2026) – Monday morning, a horrific vehicle crash on Interstate 80 near Lagoon Valley Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 2:57 a.m. on Interstate 80 near Lagoon Valley Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue Toyota veered across all lanes and crashed into the center divider wall. Then, a Honda Accord struck the Toyota that was blocking the lanes. Also, the force of the crash ejected the driver of the Toyota into the roadway, where he was struck by a white Mercedes and a Kia.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 28-year-old male driver of the Toyota dead at the scene.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
