1 Person Dead in Chesterfield Traffic Accident on Interstate 64 and Timberlake Manor Parkway

CHESTERFIELD, MO (November 11, 2024) – On Saturday, a horrific wrong-way crash on Interstate 64 and Timberlake Manor Parkway killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:40 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 64 and Timberlake Manor Parkway.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound cargo van traveling on the eastbound lanes collided with a 2023 Silverado pickup truck. Then, the force of the crash pushed the pickup into the path of a 2023 Peterbilt 579 semitractor. Also, the cargo van continued traveling after the initial crash and collided head-on with a 2014 Avalon sedan.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 79-year-old male driver of the cargo van, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver and a passenger of the pickup to a hospital with moderate injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed a portion of Interstate 64 but has long since reopened.

The events leading to the crash remain unclear at this time. The public will be notified when additional information becomes available.

Due to limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued investigating the crash.
