Los Angeles, CA (June 20, 2025) — A multi-vehicle collision on the Golden State Freeway near Griffith Park claimed the life of 77-year-old Hossein Safaie early Friday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 2:56 a.m. on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of Glendale Boulevard.
